Double-Strand Lampwork Bracelet
The other day my son, Nathaniel, asked me,
"Mom? What's your gift?" I didn't know what he meant. "Huh? What
do you mean?" and he says, "I mean your gift from God?" I was
touched and then quickly said, "I am creative, that is my
gift." He then asks, "what is my gift?" I turned to him
and said, "that's something you'll have to discover for
yourself." He paused a moment and said, "that will be a cool
journey, don't you think?" I was completely floored by his adult
response, but then realized, he has always had a sensitive
heart. It is my prayer that he will always listen to his
heart.In all the things you do in life, I hope
you'll listen to the melody inside your own heart.
Over the last couple of days I have spent many hours on the
torch playing with purples and silver foil. My favorite thing
with glass is organics. I enjoy seeing what happens to the glass
once the silver hits it. Someone wrote to me today and was
surprised that I made beads and why didn't I mention it on the
page? Hmmm... I don't know!! I just didn't think about it. So,
if you're wondering, I make about 90% of my beads. The rest I
buy from some of my favorite bead artists and the list is short
as I tend to only buy from the very, very best!
